كشفت مصادر أن وزارة العمل قررت وقف إصدار تأشيرات للعمالة المنزلية الإثيوبية.
ووفقًا لـ”المدينة” قال عددٌ من أصحاب مكاتب الاستقدام إن قرار الوزارة المفاجئ أدى إلى حدوث حالة من الارتباك داخل مكاتب وشركات الاستقدام، خاصة أن العمالة الإثيوبية تشكل 20% من جملة تأشيرات العمالة.
يذكر أن السفارة السعودية في أديس أبابا كانت قد أعلنت نهاية يوليو الماضي بدء إصدار تأشيرات العمالة الإثيوبية عبر نظام “مساند”، بناءً على اتفاق وُقع بين الجهات المختصة في المملكة وإثيوبيا.
وكان الجانب الإثيوبي طالب في وقت سابق برفع الراتب الشهري إلى 1200 ريال، ضمن عقد عمل موحد للعمالة، مشترطين أن يكون الاستقدام من خلال الوكالات وشركات ومكاتب التوظيف المرخصة.
