أعلنت النيابة العامة السعودية في وقت سابق قبل حادثة حرق النقود التي انتشرت بكثافة على مواقع التواصل عن عقوبة بالسجن وغرامة مالية لكل من يتعمد بسوء نية تغيير أو تشويه أو تمزيق معالم النقود.
وقالت في تغريدة لها عبر حسابها الرسمي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر”، اليوم الجمعة، إن “كل من تعمد بسوء قصد تغيير معالم النقود المتداولة نظاميا داخل المملكة، أو تشويهها أو تمزيقها أو غسلها بالمواد الكيميائية، أو إنقاص وزنها، أو حجمها، أو إتلافها جزئيا بأي وسيلة، يعاقب بالسجن لمدة تصل إلى 5 سنوات، وبغرامة تصل إلى 10 آلاف ريال”.
وأضافت، أن ذلك يأتي، وفقا للمادة الثالثة من النظام الجزائي الخاص، ضمن تزييف وتقليد النقود.
